According to this article most BC campgrounds are not going to be providing wireless networks anytime soon. Which seems to be fine with people in BC according to a recent B.C. parks satisfaction survey. Other campgrounds across Canada however are moving to provide some kind wireless service.

I'm on the fence about this, I agree that you go camping to get away from all of your technology and get in touch with nature, however to be able to have some connection to the world would be very beneficial. Especially for people who are running a business, it might even persuade me to go camping more often.

Facebook has announced a new app that is strictly dedicated to messaging, appropriately called Facebook Messenger.  It is a standalone app that can send messages to your Facebook friends or any contacts in your phonebook.  All of your messages, whether to FB friends or phonebook contacts are stored in the Facebook interface and are accessible from both the web and the Messenger app.  Will the new Facebook app replace texting?
